Keeneland Catalogs Record 5,709 For November Breeding Stock Sale October 13, 2008
Keeneland announced today that it has cataloged a record 5,709 horses for its annual November Breeding Stock Sale, scheduled for November 3-17. Racehorses Ready at Keeneland November SaleOctober 13, 2008
The Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale is known as a valuable source of broodmares and weanlings, but this year’s sale also offers a large number of horses of racing age. A total of 542 horses of racing age will be offered, including runners consigned by WinStar Racing, agent; Zayat Stables LLC, Eaton Sales, agent, and Shadwell Farm. Keeneland Sale graduates Dream Empress, Thorn Song, Square Eddie and Sky Diva scored starting berths in the upcoming Breeders’ Cup World Championships with weekend victories in the Breeders’ Cup Challenge “Win and You’re In” series stakes. Of the 54 Challenge races, Keeneland-sold horse have won 24. Make-A-Wish Day at Keeneland on Wednesday, October 8October 05, 2008 Keeneland and members of the Central Kentucky Thoroughbred industry are partnering with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the largest wish-granting charity in the world, to hold Make-A-Wish Day on October 8.
